I thought I would write about one of the things that comes from being around boys a lot of the time and that is they have these stupid catch phrases that they say ALL the time and I mean like all the time. They have tons but about a couple of months ago two of my brothers Randy and Jordon decided that it would be hilarious to end everything that could possibly be construed as a sexual comment with "That's what she said...." It drives me crazy and it’s worse now that I say it. It's to the point when I am at work or with friends or worst of all at Church when I am talking to people I hear this little voice in my head saying "That's what she said...." and I have to stop from laughing or worse blurting it out in public.... grrrrrr. It's like I have this comedic group sitting patiently in the back of my head waiting for the opportune time to blurt it out and disrupt my peaceful (right) thoughts.
This little quote has taken not only taken over my brain but my whole family, it is our saying I guess. I'm not sure any of them but Jordon and Randy would claim that they say it but they do. All my brothers have picked it up my older brother Josh, who is our most proper brother, says it. He actually only says it when its a good one. Like the other day Randy said, "I just hit my head on your thing", and Josh blurts out "That's what she said...." and of course we all laughed including me, hey it was funny and its even better when you get the ones that started it. I had a good one too, Jordon and I went to Taco Bell and he enjoys the Fire sauce that you put on your Tacos so I pulled one out of the sack and asked Jordon if he would like one and he said "Don't take it out, keep it in the package", and I blurted out "That's what she said....". This was even more rewarding as it made Jordon mad that I said it and that I laughed. He was annoyed and that made me Happy, that is horrible I know and I am going to the place where the sun doesn't shine its okay I have embraced it :~)
Crystale says it, my little thirteen year old brother Cade says it and then giggles (like he actually knows what it means), and worst of all I mean its pretty bad when your parents pick it up. My mom and my dad laugh at it when it's said and then when they think it's funny they will blurt it out. I mean honestly who's family says "That's what she said...." after EVERYTHING. The bad part is we all laugh. It has become our little game to see who has the best one. You even regret normal everyday phrases that you say because they could become a part of the "That's what she said...." wave that has taken over our existence. This is not just a once or twice a week deal. Every time we are with each other it is like every FIVE minutes someone says it.
I guess that is the price you pay when you have Five Brothers you have these stupid little quotes blurted out at all your family events. I guess it wouldn't be so bad except it echoes through my head like a Billion times a day like I have my own peanut gallery in my head. Oh some days so I guess if you and I ever talk now you know a little bit about what is going on in my head and if I just randomly start to smile or laugh hysterically you will now understand why. It may not be that quote either because my brothers are chalked full of one-liners.
Well now you know why men are so stupid sometimes (i mean all the time but I was trying to be nice), they fill their brains with mindless one-liners to impress but then all they have left is a eensy weensy teeny bit of space left for information someone could actually use. Just so you know I just told you the reason men are so difficult~ I solved the mystery. I know i'm brilliant~ you can thank me later :~)
